Shortly after moving to Sun City from south Texas, we were helping a lady with a newly purchased RV when we turned the corner at the self-storage lot to see the 2001 Cobalt Blue Mustang convertible with white interior sitting outside a storage unit. Mike Kelso, who would later become a Roamin' Oldies Club member, was standing beside the car. Doug asked if it was for sale. Mike responded with a YES. When asked about the car's history, Mike said it had 3,215 original miles! We asked if he meant 32,000!
Mike gave us the history of the car. It had sat in DEA warehouse near Chicago for many years. Mike bought the car at a government auction. The title showed 913 miles! Mike drove the car from the Chicago area to his new home in Florida where it became our pride and joy!
